Purpose of Project Requirements Definition: For our designers/ developers to get a strong grasp of your project, we must first understand your goals and requirements. The answers to these questions will help us better understand your project’s needs and give us the information we need to develop a formal proposal including timeline and cost.

1. Overall Project Summary:

a. Please supply us with an overview of the project

b. Please estimate total number of pages that will be needed (Pages or Sections such as; About, Company, Our Services, Products, etc..).

c. What is your projected launch date?

2. Desired User Actions and Goals. Client Expectations & Needs:

a. Please list the primary, secondary and long term goals/objectives (i.e. marketing, branding awareness, inform, increase information).

b. What are the desired user actions (what would you like them to do, learn, get out of the experience)?

3. Audience’s Expectations & Needs:

a. What is a typical user profile?

i. Sex.

ii. Age.

iii. Average Income.

iv. Average Intelligence.

v. Computer Savvy.

vi. Computer Power.

b. Define any special features required for this project. (Such as; Contact Forms, Newsletters, Chatroom, Forums, Client Extranet, Ecommerce, Audio/Music, Sound Effects, 3D Rendering, 3D Animations, Video Production etc..)

4. Please list any additional site needs:

a. List any other specific features and functionality this project will need (i.e. flash games, flash intro, video intro, database collection, flash presentations, ect.).

5. Look and Feel:

a. What is the general look and feel you are trying to achieve? (i.e. Hi-TECH, Progressive, Corporate, Retro, Sci-Fi, Mistique, Grunge, Rustic, etc.).

b. Are there any specific color schemes in place or will you want us to produce color schemes for you?

c. Will your company use the current logo / branding, or will we develop it for you?

d. Please list the URLs of any sites you find compelling and define what specifically you like about them. What do you want the user to think and feel (examples: prestigious, friendly, corporate, fun, forward thinking, innovative, and cutting edge)?

6. Client Content:

a. What content will be provided by the client (i.e. text/copy, images, video, music, logo)?

b. Describe visual elements or content that should be utilized from your current site or marketing materials (logo, style guide, color scheme, navigation, labeling, etc.)

7. Delivery Technology to be Used:

a. If the project is a website, will the project be ALL Flash, ALL HTML, or a combination of both (Hybrid)?

8. Estimated Budget: (Required to determine Development Options)

a. What is the budget range for this project?

b. Can this project be divided into phases to accommodate budget and timing constraints if needed?

9. Maintenance:

a. How will the site be updated?

b. What content will need to be updateable? (i.e. calendars, news, images, products, ect.)?

c. How often will this site be updated?

d. Will a Content Management System for easy updates will need to be developed? (This feature is recommended if you do not have in-house web developers to update your site)
